Alexander Archaeological Consultants, Inc. conducted a geographic information system (GIS) mapping project in which the primary objective was to overlay a series of six historic Civil War battle maps produced by Edward E. Betts for the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park in 1896 and 1901 onto modern topographical maps and aerial photographs.
